Pedro Castro receives the President of the Federation of Municipalities Argentina


The President of the FEMP, Pedro Castro, has received a delegation of local representatives of Argentina, led by Julio César Pereyra, Mayor of Florencio Varela, President of the Argentina Federation of Municipalities (FAM), on a visit to Spain to learn from the experiences implementation and development of technology parks in the local area.




At the meeting, held in the City of Getafe, two mayors exchanged views on the role of local governments in promoting economic growth, on the basis of the settlement of new enterprises in the municipality with a high degree of technology.
Pedro Castro told his fellow Argentine experience in the town of which he is mayor, with several industrial and technology parks already established, and took him the importance of access to knowledge as a "vital" to the economic development of a municipality. In this regard, he noted that "education on demand" is one of the most important tasks that a municipality must drive in order to attract businesses looking for workers with a high degree of professional qualification.
The delegation was composed of Argentina, as well as by Julio César Pereyra, by Charles Kunkel, National Representative, Marcelo Fernandez, President of the General Confederation entrepreneur (CGERA) and Sergio Pardo, Director of the Industrial Development Institute of Florencio Varela.
