Closed census of the 10 Assembly FEMP: 7331 Local Government attached


The Board of Spokesmen of the FEMP has closed the final details of the organization of the 10 General Assembly and has given final approval to the Census of Local Authorities that make up the Federation and that, therefore, be represented at this meeting. The FEMP account today with a total of 7331 partners, including City Councils, County Councils, Town Councils and Island Councils.




The FEMP spokespersons have also approved the agenda of the Assembly and have a first look at the amendments to the proposed resolutions to be discussed in the various working committees.
 
The facilities at the IFEMA in Madrid will host the 24th September to the nearly one thousand participants, including delegates and observers, who are expected to attend the 10th General Assembly of the FEMP, on behalf of local entities adhere to the Federation.
 
Program
 
In the morning session will be held in open-to proceed to the election of officers of the Assembly, the debates in the various committees working on Resolutions and the plenary, where these proposals will be finally approved and, in addition , the nominations will be announced to form the Executive Committee.
 
In the afternoon session will continue the plenary and proceed to the election of the governing bodies of the FEMP: Chairman, Executive Committee and Federal Council. Once established the Executive Committee, will host the closing session.
 
Workshops and resolutions
 
The debates on issues that affect and concern to local governments and future work of the Federation itself will focus on three working groups of sector: Economy and Local Development, Local Sustainability, and Territorial Cohesion and Utilities (see box) . These tables, and fourth-Laws, Resolutions discuss proposals submitted and amended, and taken to the plenary of the Assembly resulting texts for final approval.
 
Will be debated in the Assembly a total of 160 proposals for Resolutions, to which 54 amendments have been tabled.
