Approved Premises Regulations Safety Meetings
The Council of Ministers approved the Regulation on Safety local boards, bodies under the Organic Law of Forces of State Security, responsible for establishing the ways and means of cooperation between the various Security Forces operating in the same municipality (state, local and regional.)
With the Royal Decree just adopted is regulated, with the appropriate legal instrument, the establishment and composition of the boards and put an end to a policy vacuum that has existed for 25 years. The Organic Law on the Security Forces, 1986, contemplated that exist in municipalities where local police could serve as a Local Safety Board, the same law referred to the further development regulations regulating the establishment and composition of such Boards.
Security Local Boards were created from that moment and have been operating to demonstrate its utility, although they have been regulated by rules of lower rank. The new Regulation now provides for the constitution of the Boards, on a voluntary basis, in those municipalities or groups of municipalities with their own police force, by agreement of the Mayor of the municipality and the government's delegate in the autonomous region, or, if by delegation, the Delegate of the Government in the province
