Political agreement on the nominations of the 10 Assembly consensus


The PP and PSOE have reached an agreement to submit a joint bid to the governing bodies of the FEMP, facing the 10th Assembly of the Federation, which begins tomorrow Saturday, September 24 in Madrid. Municipal policy makers from both parties, Juan Manuel Moreno Bonilla (PP) and Antonio Hernando Vara (PSOE) have agreed that this agreement, which goes beyond the presentation of only one candidate, will benefit the FEMP and all Spanish municipalities.



Both parties submitted joint bids to the Executive Committee, which will now be known as Governing Board, the Regional Council, renamed the former Federal Council, and the various Sectoral Working Committees. They have also agreed on the composition of the Bureau of the 10 th Assembly.
 
The terms of the agreement have been presented at a press conference by the Policy Coordinator and Regional Municipal People's Party, Juan Manuel Moreno Bonilla, and the Secretary of Cities and Municipal Policy PSOE, Antonio Hernando Vera.
 
Moreno Bonilla explained that this "great political settlement" between the two forces more representative of the municipal power involve a restructuring of the FEMP to be a "useful tool to all the municipalities and citizens." Similarly, it is said that a new phase characterized by dialogue and consensus, to enhance the character of the FEMP as the sole interlocutor with the different administrations, especially the Central Government. "From the FEMP can help provide bold and intelligent solutions to the problems of the municipalities."


The representative of the PP also reported that this agreement have joined other groups like CiU, PAR and UPN. It is expected to join the United Left and the Andalusian Party.
 
Antonio Hernando noted that the two parties have tried to highlight their similarities, because the FEMP "belongs to everyone" and said the agreement also aims to demonstrate the political and territorial plurality Spanish municipality, which is "beyond our political differences ".
