Manuel Chaves opened the 10th General Assembly


This morning was founded in Madrid the tenth General Assembly of the FEMP. The outgoing President of the Federation, Pedro Castro, and Vice President of Land Policy, Manuel Chaves, have been involved in opening act to defend the role of the FEMP and unique voice and partner with other agencies authorized.




The outgoing President of the FEMP, Pedro Castro, has stressed in his speech on the FEMP afianzamento over the past four years, which, as noted, has allowed local governments to place on the agendas of agencies and national and international institutions but regretted that not reached a final rule on Local Government and local funding system adequate.
 
For his part, Manuel Chaves, has stressed the need to reach consensus among the political forces to achieve a new draft law on Local Government and a new financial framework, since in his view, have been the lack of consensus and the current crisis has made it difficult to achieve both standards.
