Extended the deadline to certify the implementation of projects FEESL


The Official State Bulletin dated April 12 published a royal decree extending the deadline for completion of projects under the State Fund for Employment and Local Sustainability (FEESL). The General Directorate for Local Cooperation, Ministry of Planning Policy may grant an extension to the municipalities where the problems of implementation of works can not be attributed to the Contracting Authority.



The text published in the Official Gazette, amending the Royal Decree Law 13/2009 of 26 October, establishing the State Fund for Employment and Local Sustainability, says the following:


"The municipalities will then have to prove the execution of investments and the completion of the works, and the acquisition of supplies or services until the end of the first quarter of 2011. However, the Directorate General for Local Cooperation, a reasoned and duly substantiated request of the City Council may grant a further period not exceeding twelve months, when incidents are not attributable to the Contracting Authority faced in the implementation of the works, supplies the service or been delayed. In this case, the justification must be submitted within one month following the expiry of such extension. In the case of breach of these terms shall be governed as provided in Article 6. "
