The government spends nearly nine million for National Parks and Conservation

The Cabinet has approved the financial commitments made in the Sectoral Conference on the Environment July 13, amounting to 8,850,648 euros, mostly for subsidies and compensation for socio-economic catchment areas of the National Parks . The funds are distributed by regions and are aimed at local corporations, families and private companies and nonprofit institutions.

The two lines will formalize procedures of the Autonomous National Parks (socio-economic compensation to the areas of influence of the National Parks) for an amount of 8,250,650 euros, and the Directorate General for the Environment and Forestry Policy (Natural Heritage Fund ) amounting to 599,998 euros.
The criteria for allocating the grant of the Autonomous National Parks take into account the national park area and the surface of the peripheral zone of protection.
Grants made by the Directorate General for the Environment and Forestry Policy are for activities under the Natural Heritage Fund, in particular, monitoring and evaluation of populations and their habitat and to establish performance measures for the conservation of endangered species: grizzly bear, lynx and mink.
