Pedro Castro asks a great deal for the prevention of gender violence

The President of the FEMP, Pedro Castro, has called today a "grand bargain" between the Public Aministraciones to launch a campaign to prevent gender violence.

Getafe Mayor and President of the FEMP has argued that there are more guarantees for the victims of male violence, and demanded a "grand bargain" between the Central Administration, Autonomous Regions and Municipalities for the implementation of " a major campaign of prevention. "

Pedro Castro has referred to the agreement reached between the FEMP and the Ministry of Equal to strengthen the joint work of municipal services, especially in small towns where the "situation of proximity allows us to know" exactly what is happening at home " in order to promote a policy of prevention "clear and tough" and greater protection for victims.

The agreement, signed last July, contains a protocol for the service of assistance to women victims of gender violence. Also in February this year, both institutions signed a collaboration agreement for the management of mobile teleprotection service through the municipalities grouped in the Federation. This program uses mobile telephone technology and telelocalización and allows women at risk of domestic violence come into contact for 24 hours a day with the Center. Women with a protective order can apply for free in the municipalities
