Quality tourist destinations have their Guide


The President of the Tourism Commission of the FEMP and Mayor of Ibiza, Lurdes Costa, and the Director General of TURESPAÑA, Antonio Bernabe, presented in FITUR SICTED Destinations Guide, the Comprehensive System of Tourist Quality, which are attached a total of 106 destinations, which in some cases together the various municipalities and nearly 6,000 Spanish companies.



The Guide provides the effort in the promotion and positioning of the municipalities, provinces and companies committed to quality tourism and is an initiative that began with the collaboration agreement signed between the FEMP and Turespaña for SICTED management in 2011 .
 
Presented in digital format for its annual update (including new destinations and distinguished companies attached) is rapid, sustainable and inexpensive, the integrated guide to 106 destinations attached to the SICTED today, including a brief description of each them, pictures of tourist attractions and a list of distinguished companies, which include the main contact details in order to assist in its promotion.
 
The format of the document allows the selection of destinations by regions, provinces or municipalities, in order that each entity can develop its own promotional tools.
 
The Director General of Turespaña, Antonio Bernabe, showed that tourism continues to grow despite the crisis and that the industry is again a sector with a future, where quality plays an increasingly vital role. Antonio Bernabe said that in 2010 the sector to create jobs again and are already recovering major markets such as the British and German. "The outlook is positive, he noted, and take advantage depends on the experience and quality that we bring."
 
Precisely this challenge of quality where SICTED Guide displays the work of many municipalities and companies working to provide a service "excellent," said Barnabas, who opt for an activity that adds value the heritage of each destination and generate wealth and employment.
 
For its part, Lurdes Costa bet that the business sector and government institutions and continue working hand in hand, "to increase awareness of the SICTED smile" and, thus, increase the number of targets attached to this system and visitor loyalty to them.
 
SICTED Awards
 
Following the presentation of the Guide took place SICTED awards in two categories of "manager" and "destiny." In the first, has won Picchi Olga Perez, manager of Destination Cordoba and managers finalists Pamplona and Gijon.
 
In the category of destinations, first prize was awarded to the city of Donostia - San Sebastian, and as finalists have become the city of Gijón and the Costa de Barcelona - Maresme.
 
New destinations attached
 
Another of the main objectives of the FEMP, following the signing of a cooperation agreement with TURESPAÑA, is to promote the accession of new destinations to provide the greatest possible territorial representation. At a time when project is the presence of Local Authorities of the Autonomous Communities, with a very diverse tourist typology which reveals the high degree of implementation throughout SICTED
 
The new destinations have been attached in 2011 the island of Gran Canaria, the municipality of Arta (Mallorca), the community of Grand Lake Land Alqueva, made up of municipalities in the province of Badajoz, and the Red Patrimonia, which are 23 municipalities of Andalusia
