The Government gives the municipalities with 737 million for social policies


The Government, the Council of Ministers has approved a budget of 737 million to the municipalities to carry out social policies. An important part of this amount, nearly 300, will be employed in social inclusion programs.


Specifically, the programs will focus on aspects such as support groups and labor insertion of low-level jobs; shelters, supervised housing or shelters, support to children and socio-home care plans for groups at risk of social exclusion .
The allocation to the municipalities is included in the Special Plan for the Promotion of Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction 2010, approved by the Council of Ministers. Executive measures cover various areas such as services for the citizens, which contains the municipalities, together with NGOs, the development of the Third Sector (non-profit entities as special employment centers, associations, companies for integration, cooperatives, foundations, etc.). and the development of the Roma population.
In addition to the aforementioned actions, the Government has approved additional measures to promote inclusion and combat poverty. Among others, the implementation of professional certificates and special attention to the integration of people with special difficulties in the offers of activity, either employment, training, etcetera.
